WONDER WOMAN: ILARIA FOSSATI SCORES A HAT TRICK IN “100&LODE”

Dressed head to toe in Oxyburn, the formidable ultramarathon runner claimed yet another victory in this exceptional 2016 season, finishing an hour ahead of the runner-up and two hours ahead of third place, and securing an excellent seventh place overall.

The 5055 Forty-Two jersey with Level 1 compression, the 5012 Kylyàn shorts with Level 2 compression, and the 1340 Run EvoSmart-HD socks with Level 2 compression: elegant, smiling, and victorious… And so, for the third consecutive time, Maria Ilaria Fossati won the 100&Lode in Villaverla, Vicenza, crossing the finish line with a time of 13h11’45”, finishing more than an hour ahead of Roberta Cariolato and two hours ahead of Lorena Stedile. Despite taking nearly twenty minutes longer than in her 2015 victory, Ilaria improved her overall ranking by a full ten positions in the 2016 edition, finishing seventh overall.

“100&Lode… a hat trick! It’s always an overwhelming feeling at the finish line,” Ilaria said at the end of the race, “a race I ran with my head and my heart… because a thunderstorm isn’t enough to stop me… A great race and lots of nice people along the route… Not that it was a walk in the park, but seeing all my friends line up at the medical tent to say hello was incredibly rewarding.”
