In addition to the 180k D+ Trail 5.6 and the 52.9k Lago Maggiore International Trail, the weekend will offer the chance to explore the eastern Verona region with the Soave–Bolca trail, as well as the Modena Apennines and the areas around Livorno and Arezzo.

According tothe *American Journal of Preventive Medicine*, running is a form of physical activity that can reduce psychiatric disorders by 50 percent after just three months—thanks to endorphins. Trail running, in addition to the physical activity, involves less competitive pressure and takes place in natural, scenic settings: all of this, therefore, makes it an even more suitable sport, even for those with psychiatric issues. So let’s see, with Oxyburn, where we can “heal ourselves”—pardon the pun—or rather, go for a run on Saturday, April 30, and Sunday, May 1.
On Saturday, April 30, at 7:30 p.m., the second Zebio Run Moonlight will kick off—a competitive 13k trail race with 850 meters of elevation gain to be held in Pazzano di Sopra, Serramazzoni, in the province of Modena: The cost of race bibs, 10.00 euros, will increase to 18.00 euros on race day.
Most of the races, however, will take place on Sunday, May 1, Labor Day. In Brisighella, Ravenna, the Krash Trail Brisighella Faenza will take place, a race featuring two courses: a 40k course with 2,000 meters of elevation gain and a 20k course with 600 meters of elevation gain. Meanwhile, in Cossogno, in Piedmont, it will be time for the Cossogno 1,000 Vertical, a 5.5-kilometer race with a total elevation gain of a whopping 1,000 meters!
For fans of vertical races, there’s also the chance to participate in the Chronoscalà in Valstagna, Vicenza—a 5k vertical race with 900 meters of elevation gain. Also in Veneto, but in Monteforte d’Alpone, Verona, everything is set for one of the most fascinating trails on the Italian scene: the Soave – Bolca Trail, featuring a 45k ultra with a total elevation gain of 2,400 meters and a shorter 33k course with a positive elevation gain of 1,900 meters. For ultra-distance enthusiasts, meanwhile, in Sappada, in the Belluno area, the D+ Trail 5.6 will take athletes along a 180-kilometer course with an elevation gain of a staggering 6,800 meters.
