Ivana Iozzia took the top spot on the podium at the Imperia International Half Marathon, while Marta Poretti finished in an excellent 16th place at the TransGranCanaria 125k D+8,000.
IMPERIA – Ready, set, go… and right from the start, Ivana Iozzia dominated the 2017 Imperia International Half Marathon! The Calcestruzzi Corradini athlete and Oxyburn Ambassador finished her first half marathon of the year with an excellent time of 1h16’35”, beating the second-place finisher, Maurizia Cunico, and nearly 10′ over Giuseppina Mattone, who finished third. Given the almost spring-like weather, the athlete ran wearing graduated compression socks from Oxyburn, the Brescia-based company that has supported her in all her running adventures for years.

GRAN CANARIA – The race started on Friday, February 24, at 11:00 p.m., Marta Poretti, an athlete with the Tornado Trail Team and an Oxyburn Ambassador, completed her TransGranCanaria 125k—with 8,000 meters of elevation gain—in 21h25’16”, finishing less than 5 hours behind the overall winner, Azara García De Los Salmones: in an extremely grueling race, Marta achieved an impressive 16th-place finish overall, also placing sixth in the M40F category. Oxyburn provided her with all her gear, from three-quarter-length pants to a thermal shirt, from long socks to an Oxybuff: “Oxyburn’s graduated compression clothing is excellent for ultra races like these because, in addition to providing a functional massaging and supportive effect, it keeps the skin dry by promoting breathability.”
