ILARIA FOSSATI DOMINATES THE FRANCIACORTA 12-HOUR RACE

Six days after the 100km race in Seregno, where she had taken third place on the podium, Ilaria won the first edition of the Povegliano d’Iseo endurance race, finishing fourth overall and covering an impressive 116 km—just 4 km less than the overall winner, Luca Sala. When muscle recovery is the foundation of a winning training regimen!

First in the women’s race and fourth overall: this was the outstanding result achieved on Saturday, April 16, in Povegliano d’Iseo, Brescia, by Maria Ilaria Fossati, a top ultramarathon runner from Team Oxyburn, during the first edition of the Franciacorta 12H, an endurance race that saw massive participation from both individual athletes and numerous (as many as 28) relay teams competing along a 1,450-meter loop.

On this occasion, Ilaria—already a winner of numerous endurance races and ultramarathons—ran 116 km in twelve hours, finishing first in the women’s race and fourth overall, just 4 km behind the overall winner, Luca Sala. What makes this feat even more remarkable is that the victory came just a few days after her third-place finish in the 100 km race in Seregno on April 10: Among the secret weapons of this strong ultrarunner is Oxyburn graduated compression apparel, which is comfortable during endurance races and helps facilitate muscle recovery.
