OXYBURN TAKES CENTER STAGE WITH FERRARI AND FOSSATI AT THE 100KM RACE IN SEREGNO

SEREGNOThe Seregno 100-Kilometer Race took place yesterday at Parco Porada in Seregno, north of Milan. The event awarded the Italian titles for this distance: in addition to the 100K, there was also a 60K race and a half marathon. Light rain in the morning followed by warm sunshine marked the day, during which two Oxyburn brand ambassadors took to the course: Marco Ferrari and the event’s patron, Ilaria Fossati.

Marco Ferrari, the 2015 winner of the Brescia Art Marathon and runner-up in the 2016 100km del Passatore, got off to a fantastic start in 2017 by securing an excellent second-place finish in the 60k race with a final time of 3h47’59”, finishing just 3’38” behind the winner, Andrea Zambelli, and more than 20′ ahead of Pietro Colnaghi, who placed third. The runner from Atletica Paratico ran the 60k in Seregno wearing graduated compression gear provided by Oxyburn, the leading Brescia-based company in the sector, and showed off the new green and yellow T-shirt with the large logo on the front while on the podium.

In the 100k race, however, Maria Ilaria Fossati, of Bergamo Stars Atletica, finished in a solid sixth place with a time of 9h39’40, tying Federica Vernò’s time and finishing 1h30’01” behind the winner, Germany’s Antje Krause. Finishing fourth in the SF45 category and 41st overall, Ilaria ran wearing the 5110 Lance technical jersey—featuring a third level of Performance Compression and specifically designed for endurance races—and the 5012 Kylyàn pants, with a second level of Energizer Compression: “It was the first time I wore the 5110 Lance, and I have to say I found it absolutely exceptional!” Ilaria said after the race.
