EMANUELE MANZI WINS THE ALMAS TOWER VERTICAL RUN

On Saturday, January 31, the Almas Tower Vertical Run took place, covering 63 floors and reaching a height of 280 meters, in one of the most recognizable buildings on Dubai’s breathtaking skyline—the third-tallest in the emirate.

At the top, after 1,600 steps and 280 meters, with a final time of 8’19, Italian Emanuele Manzi—a mountain running specialist who isn’t averse to skyscrapers—celebrated: in fact, he’s fresh off another climb up the Canton Tower in China—112 floors with a vertical ascent of 430 meters—where he finished third.

Before the summer mountain running season, Emanuele still has a few more skyscraper races on his schedule, including the World Tower Running Championships in Doha, Qatar, on March 27.

In Dubai, just as he does in the mountains, Emanuele Manzi wore the Oxyburn 1450 Trail-Run compression socks, which are suitable for all seasons, offer maximum breathability, excellent shock absorption, and high compression to enhance performance.

Oxyburn will also be supporting Emanuele in the Valtellina Wine Trail, a race he organized, which will take place in November 2015 through the vineyards, wineries, and mountains of Valtellina.
