CARMINE BUCCILLI WINS THE TERRE VERDIANE MARATHON

At the Terre Verdiane and Principe di Salsomaggiore Terme–Busseto Marathon, the athlete from Lazio on Team Oxyburn claimed victory in under 2h20’… even though he stopped at the 30 km mark and turned back.

2h19’56”: that’s the time it took Carmine Buccilli to complete the 42k of the 19th Maratona delle Terre Verdiane e del Principe, from Salsomaggiore Terme to Busseto. A success for him and for Oxyburn, the compression gear that enhances his performance. In fact, Carmine wore three different models throughout the marathon: the 1510 byon arm sleeves, the 1350 long running tights, and the 5055 short-sleeved shirt.
The athlete from Lazio (Atletica Casone Noceto), after a difficult start to the year, has returned to running at his best and also won the Parma Marathon despite a minor setback: “Around the 30-kilometer mark,” Carmine Buccillipiùtold us, clearly pleased with his performance, “I felt the chain around my neck slipping off: I managed to catch it on the fly, but I immediately realized I’d lost my lucky charm—a little gold snail—so I ran back about twenty meters to see if I could find it, but it was no use… It’s a shame about the charm, and the forty or fifty seconds I lost—though they didn’t affect the final result of the race.”
This demonstrates the renewed form of one of the strongest Italian athletes currently competing.
