Ilaria Fossati wins the Scuron Night Trail Marathon with a new race record; Said Boudalia takes second place at La Enego Marcesina; and Ivana Iozzia continues her training in Switzerland for the Italian Mountain Running Championships

Ilaria Fossati, victory and race record: With a stellar performance, the strong ultratrailer from Team Oxyburn also made her mark on the roll of honor for the second edition of the Scuron Night Trail Marathon, winning and setting a new race record with a time of 4h52’36”. And while Ilaria was resting after a grueling night, Sunday morning belonged to Said Boudalia: the Italian-Moroccan athlete, one of Team Oxyburn’s top performers , secured an excellent second-place finish at La Enego Marcesina after a neck-and-neck battle—which lasted for most of the race—with Faniel Eyob Ghebrehiwet, who crossed the finish line just one second ahead of him: “It was a very aggressive sprint,” Said commented after the race, visibly satisfied with his outstanding performance, “with the final kilometer run in 2’28” against an exceptional athlete.” To begin recovering from fatigue immediately, Said kept his Oxyburn socks on even after the race: the sock’s exoskeleton supports the muscles, providing a massaging effect that helps the muscle fibers relax more quickly.
