BUCCILLI AND OXYBURN ‘PAVE OVER’ THE PONTINA NATURE RESERVE

In the 30k Mare Lago delle Terre Pontine race, the athlete from Lazio—wearing his trusty 1480 Running Track shoes—dominated the race despite the mud and puddles on the off-road section of the course.

Carmine Buccilli delivered a sensational performance at the 30k delle Terre Pontine: the Lazio-based athlete from the Oxyburn Team “dominated” the Pontine Nature Reserve, finishing more than 12 minutes ahead of the runner-up.
Carmine ran the race alone and in the lead from start to finish, wearing the 1480 Running Track socks, White/Vision, featuring Level III compression, designed to support the calf muscles even during the difficult and grueling stretch of dirt and mud.

“My last long run, even though I didn’t feel great before or halfway through the race… It’s a shame about the kilometers I ran inside the nature reserve—through mud, dirt roads, and puddles—which pushed up my final average pace. 30 km Mare Lago delle Terre Pontine, 1h37′ at an average pace of 3’14” per kilometer.” These are the words with which a smiling Carmine Buccilli described his latest victory of 2016. This time, it came at the 30k delle Terre Pontine. Behind him, 12’20” back, was Fabrizio Chiominto, and nearly 14′ behind him was Leonardo Cecere.
