This week will feature the Sand Marathon, but this weekend will also see the Val Maremola Trail, the Try Trail, the Trail dei 3 Conventi, and the first San Valentino Trail.

This was supposed to be the week of La Grande Corsa Bianca—a 170k race with 6,000 meters of elevation gain to be covered on foot or on skis between Adamello and Stelvio… but it has been postponed to February 23–25! Despite this, you’ll still be able to enjoy an exciting weekend of mountain races!

While the Sappada Moonlight Snowrun, a snowshoe race, will take place on Saturday, February 11, in Sappada, in the province of Belluno, Sunday, February 12, will feature another great winter classic: the 15th San Benedetto del Tronto Sand Marathon, Ascoli Piceno, which, in addition to the 42k race and a 7k fun run, will feature—as it does every year—the 50k ultramarathon.

Finally, also on Sunday, February 12, in addition to the first edition of the Try Trail and the fifth edition of the Val Maremola Trail, which will take place in Tovo San Giacomo and Montefollonico, in Tuscany, it will also be the day of the fourth Trail dei 3 Conventi, a competitive, semi-self-sufficient eco-trail covering 22.4 km with 851 meters of elevation gain, accompanied by an 11-km Short Trail and—new for 2017—the first Trail di San Valentino – the Festival of Lovers, a competitive race for mixed pairs on the same course as the “3 Conventi.”
