The runner and triathlete took second place in the Monza Park Cross-Country Race at the Regional Individual Masters Cross-Country Championship; the former Italian marathon champion achieved the same result.
Orazio Bottura on Saturday , February 11 , and Ivana Iozzia on Sunday, February 12 , both took second place in their respective races: Orazio in the Villasanta Cross-Country Race in Monza, and Ivana in the Correggio Cross-Country Race in Reggio Emilia. The two Oxyburn athletes thus brought the Brescia-based company—which has been designing and manufacturing technical graduated compression sportswear for years—back to the podium.

The fifth round of the 31st Brianza Cross-Country Championship, which also counted toward the Regional Individual Masters Cross-Country Championship, was held on Saturday, February 11, 2017, in Monza Park, in Villasanta. On a rain-free day, with a soft course in perfect condition, the Monza Park Cross Country race drew about a thousand athletes who competed in various categories: Orazio Bottura, an Oxyburn Ambassador, who, after finishing second, was able to cheer on his wife Barbara Corsini, the first-place woman and Regional Cross-Country Champion.

On Sunday, February 12, 2017, starting at 9:00 a.m., the races for the second round of the Regional Cross-Country Championship (CDS) were held in Correggio, Reggio Emilia, for the Senior, Master, and Youth categories: on a cold and cloudy day—though the rain held off—and on a tough, muddy course, Ivana Iozzia, a former Italian Marathon Champion and long-time Oxyburn Ambassador, achieved an excellent second-place finish in the Masters category, completing her race in 21’29”, just 22” behind Francesca Bertoni, who took first place: Behind Iozzia was her teammate Francesca Cocchi, who finished third, 51” behind.
