It was a great Sunday for Oxyburn, which competed in Premana (Lc) at the Giir di Mont and, at the same time, at the Bagolino Alpin Run.

What kind of race is this? Simple… The 5 Ponti Trail is changing its name to… BAGOLINO ALPIN RUN!

To mark their founding anniversaries, SSD Bagolino and AVIS Bagolino have confirmed that they will host the mountain running race on July 26, 2015, with a new feature for the sixth edition: the 5 PONTI TRAIL is now the BAGOLINO ALPIN RUN!

Now in its sixth year, the BAGOLINO ALPIN RUN is part of the national calendar

FIDAL has once again established itself on the national scene as a highly regarded competition due to its technical level and the natural setting in which it takes place.

The event was launched in 2010 thanks to AVIS Bagolino and the running group of the Bagolino Amateur Sports Club, which had recently been formed with the goal of rediscovering and reviving an event that had been held in the 1970s. After five editions, the decision was made to change the name to BAGOLINO ALPIN RUN, a choice that embodies certain goals and meanings:

– to highlight the Bagolino area, a town with a centuries-old history, rich in culture and traditions (notably Bagòss cheese, the Chiodo d’Oro site of global significance, its artistic and historical heritage, and the Carnival);

– to convey that this is a running race held in the mountains, with a challenging course that nevertheless amply rewards the effort, thanks to the wonders of nature and the warmth that the spectators bring.

The BAGOLINO ALPIN RUN, which will start at 9 a.m. from Bagolino’s Pineta Park, is part of the 2nd Grand Prix

the Valle Sabbia and Alto Garda mountain running series, a circuit that includes a new race on this year’s calendar: the Grimpeur Race in Gavardo.
