A one-two finish for Oxyburn at the Marcialonga Running. First place went to Said Boudalia, second to Giovanni Gualdi—both athletes who run in Oxyburn compression socks. Said wore his favorites—the bright white 1480 Running Track—while Gualdi wore the shorter, lighter, yet equally high-performance 1495 Running Track.
This time, no second place for Said Boudalia. The Moroccan runner took a risk, decided to challenge himself, and succeeded, winning the thirteenth edition of the Marcialonga Running, the Trentino running race set against the backdrop of the Dolomites. Ready, set, go—and Said seems to have no rivals; he runs with the fluidity and ease typical of someone confident of victory, his stride is brisk along the course, but after the sixth kilometer, he decides it’s time to pick up the pace to turn the race around, with the sun—after a frigid start—beating relentlessly down on the runners’ sweaty foreheads.
This seems to be his race, but Giovanni Gualdi from Bergamo doesn’t see it that way and attempts a comeback; his legs push forward, and anything seems possible. In Predazzo, Gualdi gains seconds, meter by meter; it seems he might catch him, but Boudalia knows this, accelerates to maintain the lead, and, cheered on by the local crowd, crosses the finish line in triumph.
