Marco Salami wins the 22nd Oderzo Città Archeologica, the race for top runners, earning his place among the elite of Italian running. Maria Ilaria Fossati, already a legend in the world of ultramarathons, finished fifth in the Ultra Jungle in Schio.

ODERZO, TREVISO – Marco Najibe Salami scored a great victory yesterday, showing heart and strength at the 22nd edition of the “Oderzo Città Archeologica,” a 10K race for elite runners: and so the top athlete from the Army Sports Center—who has been running in Oxyburn’s graduated compression technical apparel since October 2016—following his strong third-place finish in last year’s race, on Monday, May 1, with an excellent time of 29’07”, he swept aside the competition from athletes of the caliber of Stefano La Rosa, who finished second by just 18”, Yeman Crippa, third with the same time as the runner-up, 29’25”, Yassin Bouih, who finished fourth in 29’34”, and Romanian Nicolae Soare, who finished fifth in 29’49”.

SCHIO, VICENZA – 47k and 2,900 meters of elevation gain: this was the course of the Salomon Schio Ultra Jungle, which took place on Sunday, April 30, 2017, between the historic center and the mountains surrounding the town in the province of Vicenza. And at the end of the women’s race, won by Isabella Lucchini in 6h09’44”, Maria Ilaria Fossati, an athlete with ASD Bergamo Stars and for years one of the leading lights ofthe Oxyburn Ambassador Team, delivered yet another outstanding performance, securing a solid fifth-place finish in 7h14’38”. As always, Ilaria ran wearing the full range of graduated compression apparel from the Brescia-based company, from the 5012 Kylyàn shorts with purple inserts to the 5110 Lance short-sleeve jersey and the 1590 Protech light blue arm sleeves.
