Sports truly have a special power—the power to bring people together, entertain, enhance everyone’s well-being, and encourage exploration of the local area, beyond mere competition.
It’s already been three years since I began promoting this philosophy by working to spread an innovative form of outdoor training: Street Workout. In picturesque historical or natural settings, more and more people are gathering on the streets, led by a trainer, to get a workout while walking, accompanied by music streaming through their Wi-Fi headphones.
Last May, in Turin’s beautiful Parco Dora, together with all the trainers involved, we chose Oxyburn for one of our most well-attended events. Thanks to a one-of-a-kind material that provides an immediate feeling of protection and comfort, its products are truly functional for our outdoor fitness activities.
The compression provided by the Lance short-sleeve shirt, for example, supports the shoulder, back, and chest muscle groups, enhancing movement control, explosive strength, and endurance.
The Kylyan shorts, made of Dryarn® polypropylene with high thermal insulation properties, stimulate circulation and help increase endurance during exercise, in part through their anti-cramp effect.
Both the Injector leg warmers and the Balance armbands ensure instant muscle responsiveness. Their massaging effect increases sweat wicking and heat dissipation, while also protecting against chafing and impacts, just like the versatile, blister-resistant Multisport socks .
Since its inception in Rome, against the majestic backdrop of the Colosseum, more than 100 cities in Italy and across Europe have hosted as many as 400 recreational and athletic Street Workout events each year, attracting 100,000 participants. And now, 2020 awaits us, full of new developments, paths to explore, and wellness to pursue—always to the beat of the music.
