OXYBURN is a highly popular brand in the world of trail running apparel, offering a wide variety of products designed for maximum comfort and suitable for all weather conditions.
Let’s explore the world of trail running with OXYBURN through the experience of one of our most dedicated ambassadors: Rossella Palini.
When did you start running?
I started running seriously in 2015. I had stopped playing volleyball a couple of years earlier, but I had always run during my breaks from the sport and had always enjoyed it. When I started hitting the trails, I immediately realized how much I loved trail running, and since then it’s been a steady progression of goals, distances, rewards, and thrills.
What competitions have you participated in?
I’ve participated in numerous races, but the most meaningful ones for me have been the ones that moved me the most, such as: PROAI GOLEM, DOLOMITI DI BRENTA TRAIL, TRAIL UISP CHALLENGE, GARDA TRENTINO TRAIL, DOLOMYTHS RUN ULTRA, UTLO (ULTRA TRAIL LAGO D’ORTA), and the ADAMELLO SHORT TRAIL.
Why did you choose OXYBURN products?
Thanks to some race swag and word of mouth, I discovered this company that makes amazing products! The quality of the fabrics and the designs are unique on the market, not to mention the value for the price.
What do you think is the added value of OXYBURN products?
What surprised me the most was the exceptionally high quality of the fabrics, but I was also impressed by the breathability, the fit, and the design.
What products would you recommend for trail running?
My absolute favorite product is the AXO 5013 shorts. I know how hard it is to find shorts that work for as many activities as possible: this product is incredibly versatile. For tops, I’d recommend the CROSS 5099 and EXTREME 5089. For winter training, I recommend the ALPINE 5300 (warm and protective; perhaps wear another shirt underneath, like the MOVE 5056, or—for those who feel the cold more easily—a more structured shirt like the KATE 7712 or HALNY 5058). When it comes to socks, my favorites are the ESCAPE 1642—mid-length socks that strike the perfect balance between softness and compression. For those who prefer long socks, the ULTRA TREKKING 1536 are a sure bet! Compression and comfort work in harmony, adapting to all seasons.
Any future sports projects?
My next race will be the LAVAREDO ULTRA TRAIL at the end of June 2023—my first 80 km race (with a whopping 4000d+)! Last year, I ran its shorter version (the CORTINA TRAIL), a 48 km race with 3,600 meters of elevation gain, and I was captivated by everything: the scenery, the weather, the organization, and the crowd’s cheering. I have to go back, and it’s only right to raise the bar!
