A weekend to remember for the Oxyburn athletes: Ivana won silver in the team event at the Mountain Running World Championships in Premana, while Maria Ilaria took an excellent fourth place in France at the Montreux Trail Fest 164k.

PREMANA – Eleventh overall, second among Italian runners, and a silver medalist in the team event at the World Mountain Running Championships, which took place yesterday, Sunday, July 30, in Premana: this is the outstanding result of a world-class weekend for Ivana Iozzia, the three-time Italian marathon champion and long-time Oxyburn brand ambassador, who finished her race in the Senior Women’s category in exactly 1 hour and 9 minutes, beating France’s Celia Chiron by 8 seconds and finishing just 7 seconds behind the Czech Republic’s Pavla Matyasova Schorna. Thanks to Alice Gaggi’s seventh-place finish—with an excellent final time of 1h07’12”— and Sara Bottarelli’s 14th-place finish in 1h10’01” , the Italian women’s national team won the silver medal in the team competition at the 2017 World Championships!

MONTREUX – Yet another impressive display of strength and resilience by Oxyburn’s other brand ambassador, ultratrail runner Maria Ilaria Fossati, this time on French soil. On Saturday and Sunday , the Montreux Trail Festival – Tour des Alpes Vaudoises took place —a 164-kilometer ultra race with 11,999 meters of elevation gain—in which the Italian athlete secured an excellent fourth-place finish.
