The Nasego Trophy took place yesterday in Valle Sabbia. What a success and what a spectacle, with the legendary Ugandan Isaac Kiprop, the world mountain running champion, winning with a confidence truly worthy of a great champion. He completed the course in 1h31’03”, with Italy’s top runners in the discipline trailing behind him, from Alex Baldaccini (1h33’25”) to the Dematteis brothers.

Oxyburn was, of course, present as the event’s main sponsor and official supplier of prizes for the podium finishers. Athletes sponsored by Oxyburn also competed, such as Emanuele Manzi, who has given us so much to celebrate in recent months in vertical races on skyscrapers around the world. Manzi finished 5th overall in 1h35’56”, while another athlete racing under the Oxyburn banner was the “lion” Maurizio Ghidini. The Brescia native finished in 52nd place in 2h15′.

Want to know something interesting? Fourth-place finisher Alessandro Rambaldini and Italian national team member Martin Dematteis—who finished sixth with a time of 1h36.4”—also ran in and tested the Oxyburn socks, giving them positive reviews.

Among the women, Francesca Iachemet finished in 1h54’54”, while Angela Serena, also competing for the Oxyburn “team,” put in an excellent performance with a time of 2h12’50” to finish sixth among the women; Monica Pont Chafer did even better, who finished 4th in 2h08’35”.
