A successful debut for Giovanni Gualdi of Bergamo with Oxyburn compression products. On Saturday afternoon, he won the Giro Lago di Resia with a magnificent time of 49’01”, marking his second victory in that magical race in Val Venosta following his 2011 win, when he triumphed in 49’21”.

A few more years under his belt, he’s now a lifelong running enthusiast but no longer a professional runner, as he was in 2011 when he was a member of the Fiamme Gialle. Yet Giovanni “Gio” Gualdi clocked a significantly better time, very close to the race record.

It’s a second youth for Gualdi—perhaps more mentally free, more relaxed in his choices regarding races or training, where the daily motto is simply: “fun.” And that’s exactly what happened in June when he won—setting a record in the process—the prestigious Monza-Resegone race alongside his team, and it’s been the same in recent weeks, as he’s focused solely on recharging his batteries and showing up fresh and ready for the “Resia” event.
