ROMECarmine Buccilli hasn’t been running quite as much this year—or at least he’s run less in the first part of 2017… but every time he has, he’s made headlines with some truly outstanding performances! That was certainly the case again on Friday evening, during the fourth edition of the Roma by Night Run , where Carmine—who, despite the heat, ran in his trusty Oxyburn graduated compression socks—won hands down with an excellent time of 1h10’10”, despite a navigational error; behind the athlete from Casone Noceto, who finished 4’02” ahead of him, Marco Quaglia of ASD Top Runners Castelli Romani, while the third step of the podium was claimed by Fabrizio Chiominto of Calcaterra Sport ASD, who finished his race in 1h15’43”.

PISCIOTTA56 minutes and 49 seconds: that’s the time in which Gilio Iannone, an International Security Service athlete and the latest addition to the team of athletes sponsored by Oxyburn, won the historic Pisciotta Olive Tree Marathon, a 16.4-kilometer race from Pisciotta to Rodio, a race characterized by a first section of steady uphill and a second section that is all downhill. Gilio finished ahead of Giorgio Calcaterra, who came in second, and Kamel Hallag, who came in third.

VALMADRERA – Orazio Bottura is becoming more and more of a triathlete, Orazio Bottura competed in the Città di Valmadrera Sprint Triathlon, in the province of Lecco, where the Oxyburn athlete achieved an excellent ninth-place finish with a final time of 56 minutes and 36 seconds—a time that also secured him first place in his category, M2. The race was ultimately won by Valerio Patané of Propatria Milano, who finished first in 53 minutes and 1 second.
