Perhaps because, as Alessandro Morandotti said in his *Minime*, \u201cthe economy and the weather both have a habit of defying predictions\u201d? Be that as it may, the fact remains that during this early spring\u2014marked by enormous, almost desert-like temperature swings\u2014there <strong>will be<\/strong>many mountain races to participate in on <strong>Saturday and Sunday, February 25 and 26, 2017<\/strong>, and above all, they\u2019ll be fantastic!<br \/>\n<strong>On Saturday, February 25<\/strong>, at 6:00 p.m., the first edition of <strong>the Cortina CAI Snow Rundi<\/strong> <em>Cortina d\u2019Ampezzo, Belluno<\/em>, will begin\u2014a mountain race on snow along a 20k course with a total elevation gain of 1,380 meters.<strong>The Monte Prealba Up&#038;Down<\/strong>, a mountain running endurance race taking place in <em>Bione, Brescia<\/em>, <strong>will begin on Saturday, February 25, and conclude on Sunday, February 26<\/strong>: the race will be 24 hours, 12 hours, or 6 hours, and will follow an 8.37-kilometer course with 687 meters of elevation gain per lap.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On Sunday, February 26, in Arenzano<\/strong>, in the province of <em>Genoa<\/em>, the <strong>third edition of the Three for Team Trail Race<\/strong> will take place\u2014a 21-kilometer semi-self-supported trail race with 1,100 meters of elevation gain along the trails leading from the sea to the Apennine mountains of the UNESCO Beigua Natural Geopark.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the <em>Verbania Pallanza<\/em> area, also <strong>on Sunday, the 26th<\/strong>, <strong>\u201cLa Traccia Bianca\u201d<\/strong> will take place\u2014a non-competitive snowshoe hike along an 8k route with an elevation gain of 250 meters: The event will start at 10:30 a.m. from the plaza in front of the Albergo Cervandone<em>on Alpe Devero<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the <em>Canove di Roana<\/em> area,<em>on the Asiago Plateau<\/em>, the <strong>second Vaca Mora Winter Edition<\/strong> will take place on Sunday\u2014<br \/>\n, a 10k run along the old Piovene-Rocchette railway line \u2013 Asiago, starting in Canove di Roana and finishing in Tresch\u00e9.
