A GREAT WORKOUT TO PREPARE FOR THE RACE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">For several years now, many gyms have set up rooms without machines or weights, dedicating them specifically to functional training. But what exactly is it? Simply put, it\u2019s a workout performed using bodyweight exercises or simple equipment\u2014such as relatively light dumbbells, barbells without weights, resistance bands, ankle weights, <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kettlebell\">kettlebells<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fluitraining.com\/en\/fluiball\/\"> fluiballs<\/a>, and mats\u2014that engages the entire body.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The goal of functional training is to train the body to perform all the movements it normally makes, through exercises, repetitions, and circuits designed to strengthen and train the muscles deeply.
