This is highlighted by a survey conducted by Terre di mezzo Editore<\/a>: In Italy and the rest of Europe, walking and undertaking long pilgrimages is an activity that is becoming increasingly popular.<\/p>\n

The study states: \u201cIn 2021, people in Italy returned to walking\u2014and walked more than they did before the pandemic. In fact, 59,538<\/strong> credentials were issued (across 49 trails), compared to 45,472 in 2019.\u201d <\/p>\n

There are 49 registered trails on the peninsula, and there is talk of another 20 new trails, the details of which will soon be made official.<\/p>\n

This is a phenomenon that is attracting a great deal of attention worldwide; in fact , *Outdoor Magazine*\u2019s special issue on hiking<\/a> devotes three full pages to it.<\/p>\n

Walking is an activity that promotes health and restores balance to the body and mind. It is suitable for people of all ages and does not require any particular level of physical fitness.
